About

The vision of the UOIT Engineering Outreach program is to engage and spark curiosity in children and youth in engineering , through fun and exciting hands-on activities, focusing on connecting children and youth to science.

The UOIT Engineering Electronics Lending Library and Library Workshop series is an exciting program that provides youth between the ages 5 and up, learning resources such as robots, electronics, arduinos and raspberry pi's. These resources allow families in the local community to bring home learning materials that may be too expensive to purchase on their own. Each resource kit comes accompanied by this workbook.

01

workbook

The illustration designed for the front cover of our UOIT Engineering Electronics Lending Library workbook which would accompany each resource kit. The theme is STEM education. The cover should reflect our focus on providing exciting hands-on STEM experiences (experiential learning) at home.

02

illustration

The illustration for the cover needed to be playful given the audience, however not too juvenile. The cover had to be mindful of promoting STEM, and specifically engineering.

03

final covers

Each cover title was assigned a different color based on the psychology of color, to stimulate the readers eye and create a sense of creativity and concentration, but still in harmony with the whole design.
